Video: Gabriel Jesus scores an unbelievable stunner against Chelsea

Gabriel Jesus scores an unbelievable stunner against Chelsea. Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso was the only player not to take a knee before today’s Premier League clash against Manchester City. The Spaniard looks a little out of place as the rest of his team-mates continue with the anti-racism stance, though Alonso has also insisted he wants to continue to fight discrimination, but will now do so by pointing to his ‘no room for racism’ badge on his shirt instead.  Chelsea have taken the lead over Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge through Timo Werner. After a disappointing debut campaign at Chelsea, Werner has lost his starting spot this campaign. As a result, he was without a goal heading into tonight’s clash with Villa. Werner has now got off the mark, with Reece James whipping in a GORGEOUS ball straight onto the German’s head. Jed Steer could do nothing to prevent his headed effort finding the net.

The Hammers will have been given some added encouragement heading into tonight’s Carabao Cup fourth round clash by the result at the London Stadium over the weekend. West Ham had the opportunity to draw level with Man United with virtually the last kick of the game, but Mark Noble fluffed his lines and gift-wrapped the Red Devils a 2-1 win. Noble was given the nod to start for West Ham against Man United tonight, but it’s not the skipper who’s made the difference, rather Manuel Lanzini.

Manchester United are in action again on Wednesday evening as they welcome West Ham to Old Trafford for the third round of this season’s Carabao Cup. The meeting between the two sides comes just days after the dramatic Premier League encounter at the London Stadium.  A deflected strike from Said Benrahma gave David Moyes’ side the lead but in typical Manchester United fashion, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side turned it around to steal all three points. (Video) Bruno Fernandes gives Newcastle keeper no chance from distance

Image
It was an absolute thunderbolt from Bruno Fernandes. The occasion has already been marked by Cristiano Ronaldo, who has two games to his name, but Bruno Fernandes was not letting the game go by without reminding people that he is still the supplier of goals. Bruno Fernandes had a number of opportunities from distance in the first-half, so it was telling that he fancied his chances this afternoon — as United look set to beat Newcastle with a strong Portuguese kick.

(Video) Goalkeeping howler gifts Cristiano Ronaldo his 119th Man United goal as Old Trafford punters get exactly what they came for

Manchester United fans flocked to Old Trafford on Saturday all wanting to see the same thing – Cristiano Ronaldo performing his famous ‘SIIIIU’ goal celebration. His first attempt on goal did not live up to his high standards, but he granted those United fans’ wish just before half time against Newcastle. Ronaldo’s goal was his gift to his adoring fans. But in truth it was gifted to him by Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman, who made a mess of dealing with a hopeful effort from Mason Greenwood. WATCH VIDEOS BELOW:

Image
There may still be a school of thought that says Timo Werner just needs a few goals to bring his confidence back, but it’s becoming quite difficult to see how he’ll manage to put that run together. He had a nightmare for Germany in the loss to North Macedonia as he missed a golden chance before they went on to lose the game, and this miss tonight isn’t much better: WATCH VIDEOS BELOW:

portugal brings the curtains down on their action for the latest round of fixtures when they lock horns with Azerbaijan at the Baku Olympic Stadium on Tuesday evening. azerbaijan have unsurprisingly been the whipping boys of Group A of the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifiers, managing just one point after the first five games.  With the top two already up to ten points, Azerbaijan do not seem to have much of a chance of making it to Qatar, especially owing to the presence of Poland and Republic of Ireland with the team selection.
