 Chelsea striker Timo Werner scored his second goal in as many games for Germany during their clash with Armenia this evening. Werner endured a difficult start to life at Chelsea.   Jorginho had a penalty kick saved in a goalless away draw against Switzerland as Italy dropped points for the second match in succession. The reigning European champions came into the match on the back of an underwhelming 1-1 draw against Bulgaria and started the better of the two teams as the Azzurri pressed from the front.  In the 70th minute of Sunday’s World Cup qualifier between England and Andorra, the Three Lions extended their lead after Jack Grealish and Mason Mount cut the Andorran defence apart. Grealish slipped the ball through to Mount with a lovely pass as he was driving forward on the edge of the area, the Chelsea star then left his defender sliding with some tidy footwork.  Chelsea’s Reece James was given the opportunity to play in midfield for England this evening – and he almost bagged a beauty. James is conventionally a right-back, but can operate either at right centre-back or in central midfield. The 21-year-old spent a period of his loan spell with Wigan Athletic playing in the middle of the park, with his expansive passing range perfectly suited to that role.   Jesse Lingard has brought out the Cristiano Ronaldo celebration for England. The midfielder has got himself on the scoresheet for the Three Lions this evening to put his nation ahead against Andorra at Wembley Stadium. And he celebrated by paying tribute to Ronaldo, whose return to Manchester United was confirmed last week, the Portuguese star joining on a two-year deal after deciding to leave Juventus.
