(Video) Cristiano Ronaldo scores 96th minute winner v Ireland



 As if this week couldn’t get better for Cristiano Ronaldo. After securing a sensational return to Manchester United earlier this week, the mercurial goalscorer proved his worth once again when Portugal faced off against Ireland.

It was, however, Ronaldo who would have the last laugh. Late in the game, he broke the record for most international goals by scoring his 110th, surpassing Iran’s Ali Daei (109 goals), to make it 1-1.

 The Hammers will have been given some added encouragement heading into tonight’s Carabao Cup fourth round clash by the result at the London Stadium over the weekend. West Ham had the opportunity to draw level with Man United with virtually the last kick of the game, but Mark Noble fluffed his lines and gift-wrapped the Red Devils a 2-1 win.
